Directors
Mr J L C (John) Jones Chairman, is a well known and respected mining identity, who has been associated with a number of successful mining corporations in his 30 years of business. Mr Jones has previously been Chairman of North Kalgurli Mines and Jones Mining and is presently the chairman of Troy Resources NL. Mr Jones has a strong prospecting instinct, clear strategic vision and a desire for exploration, mining and corporate success. He has been a director of the Company since 1990.
Dr D E (Denis) Clarke, has a PhD in Geology from Stanford University (California) and has more than 30 years experience in exploration and mining, principally in Australia and North America, including 15 years with Plutonic Resources Limited. At various times, he managed the exploration, finance, administration and corporate divisions of Plutonic, most recently being General Manager-Corporate until Plutonic was taken over by Homestake Mining Company in 1998. He is currently Chairman of Lachlan Resources NL and Montague Gold NL, and Non-Executive Director of Troy Resources NL and BeMaX Resources. He has been a director of the Company since 1999.
Mr C H (Christopher) Fyson, has 26 years experience in real estate and development in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia and is a past president of the Kalgoorlie Boulder Chamber of Commerce. Mr Fyson initiated the Goldfields Mining Expo of which he was Chairman for its first three years. He is a State and National Director of the Professionals Real Estate Group and has Chaired both Boards for four years each. He has been a Director of the Company since 1985.
Mr A C (Angus) Pilmer, is a Management Accountant. He is experienced in corporate management and is a director of a number of private companies. He has been a Director of the Company since 1985.
Senior Management
Mr P (Peter) Komyshan, is a well known, committed and experienced explorer with a successful record of discoveries over 30 years in exploration. From 1986 to 1998 he held senior exploration positions with Aberfoyle Resources Limited mostly in Western Australia and Queensland. He was responsible for the acquisition of a high quality exploration portfolio for Aberfoyle in Western Australia including the two million ounce Carosue Dam project. More recently, from 1999 to 2002, he has consulted to Gold Fields Australasia Pty Ltd, the Australian subsidiary of the large South African miner Gold Fields Limited in due diligence investigations of major gold acquisitions, the evaluation of potential corporate acquisitions and the development of Gold Field’s Western Australian acquisition and exploration strategy.
